2013: The Albums

I don't think it is a secret that I enjoy music. After all, I am willing to travel across the oceans for the stuff. I spend way too much money on it. Listening to music is what I do. It's what keeps me sane.

With the year coming to a close I decided to go back and revisit all of the albums that I have bought this year and see if I could come up with my favorite. Turns out that I couldn't. What I have instead are my three favorite albums of the year and weirdly enough each album is completely different from the other. One is an upbeat and danceable album, one is from a lovely singer-songwriter, and the other is in the style of progressive death metal. They are all amazing efforts and very much worth listening to.

I had planned on doing an individual write up on each album going into why I enjoyed them so much, but I decided against it for two reasons.
1. I'm going to let the albums speak for themselves
2. I am incredibly lazy

So without further rambling here are my three favorite albums of the year. Enjoy.
